- DODOMA: THE Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) has disbursed loans worth 1.55 tri/- to finance 862 projects in the agricultural sector and related activities across the country.
- He said the bank had invested 611.8 billion/- in food crops alone, while strategic crops and sectors, including edible oils, coffee, cashew nuts, sugar and cotton, had received a combined investment of 884.24 billion/-.
- According to him, the objective is to accelerate the transformation of agriculture from subsistence farming to productive and commercially oriented agriculture driven by technology, value addition and stronger market.
