Proposal for Six New Training Programs in Mining Sector

TLDR

• The IMTT training program has been crucial for youth to acquire necessary skills in the mining sector.
• The program was established through a collaboration between VETA and the Tanzania Chamber of Minerals and Energy (TCM).
• Currently, IMTT is offered only at VETA Moshi, which has the required facilities and infrastructure for the training.
• Since its inception in 2009, over 1,668 youths have been trained through IMTT, with 79.1% employed in various mines across the country.
• The program plans to introduce six new training programs: Scoop Operation, Tele-remote Bogger Operation, Cubex Operation, Jumbo Operation, Lifting and Rigging, and Mobile Charging Unit Operation.
