Plans to Introduce Tennis in More Schools Across the Country

TLDR

• Goodluck Mollel was the director of YDP which started in 2010 and was influential in identifying and training many young tennis players and some of them are in the national team .At YDP Mollel was assisted by Jonas.
• By Our Reporter The Local Tennis Governing Body (TTA)says it has plans to introduce the sport in many schools in the country so that the game is to grow and develop.
• Tennis is played in almost five regions in the country and there are also some schools who teach it (Tennis)as a physical education subject ,this is good development ,but we need more schools to teach the sport and also.
• In a monitored Radio Interview ,TTA Vice president Rajabu Borry in an interview said although there are some schools with tennis as a physical education subject ,there is a need for the tennis subject to be taught at.
• He was speaking at the end of the World Tennis /CAT Eastern African Junior Tennis Competition which the country hosted and attracted seven countries namely Kenya,Uganda ,Rwanda ,Burundi ,Seychelles, Comoro and the host.
