Launch of Binti Kinara Entrepreneurship Programme for Out-of-School Young Women in Kibwegere

• Following evaluation, 11 young women with the strongest proposals received TZS 200,000 each in seed funding to start, expand, or improve their enterprises.Beyond the financial support, beneficiaries will continue.
• GFI recently launched Binti Kinara in Kibwegere, bringing together more than 30 young women, local government leaders, community representatives, and GFI staff for the start of a two-week entrepreneur ship and.
• FOR many young women who leave school before completing their education, the path toward economic independence can be a steep one.
• A new initiative by Girls First Initiative (GFI) is working to change that narrative, equip ping out-of-school young women with the skills, confidence and resources needed to build their own economic futures.
• The session introduced the purpose of Binti Kinara, who it serves, and why economic empowerment is critical for young women.
