Investment in Agricultural Sector by NBC to Enhance Productivity and Market Access

• DODOMA: COOPERATIVE unions; TANECU and KACU, are expected to improve the efficiency of collecting and transporting agricultural produce following the acquisition of 15 trucks aimed at addressing transport challenges.
• He said supporting cooperatives with productive assets is part of NBC’s broader strategy to strengthen agricultural value chains and improve access to markets for farmers across the country.
• They expressed confidence that the investment will benefit cooperative members, enhance service delivery and increase the contribution of cooperative societies to the growth of Tanzania’s agricultural sector.
• The trucks are expected to enhance the timely movement of produce from collection centres to markets, while improving the operational capacity of the two cooperative unions.
