  • DODOMA: POLICE have arrested the driver of Isamilo Express bus for alleged reckless driving following a head-on collision that killed nine people and injured several others at Ibihwa Village in Bahi District, Dodoma.
  • According to a statement issued by police late Sunday, the Mwanza-bound bus from Dar es Salaam was attempting to overtake recklessly when it collided head-on with an oncoming Libanika Luxury bus.
  • Police confirmed that five men and four women died in the crash.
  • The Chief Medical Officer of Dodoma Regional Referral Hospital, Dr Ernest Ibenzi, confirmed that the facility had received the injured survivors and the bodies of those who died in the crash.
