Tanzania Parliament Approves 2026/27 National Budget of Sh62.3 Trillion with 97% Vote

THE Parliament of Tanzania has approved the Government’s General Budget amounting to 62.3tri/- for the 2026/27 financial year after receiving 385 votes in favour, representing 97 percent of all votes cast.

The endorsement follows the presentation of the 62.33tri/- 2026/27 National Budget, which prioritises domestic revenue mobilisation, while supporting economic growth, industrialisation and structural transformation.

Bunge la Tanzania limepitisha Bajeti Kuu ya Serikali kwa mwaka wa fedha 2026/2027 kwa asilimia 97.66 baada ya wabunge 385 kupiga kura ya ndiyo kuunga mkono bajeti hiyo licha ya kuwepo mapendekezo kwa baadhi ya wadau ikiwemo Serikali kupunguza matumizi yasio ya lazima.
