BoT hiked 50bp to 6.25% on July 3 — its first increase since April 2024 — to keep inflation inside the 3–5% band after May's 4.2% print on fuel and fertilizer costs, so near-term easing is unlikely. Over the longer 2027 horizon, though, published model paths still trend the policy rate toward roughly 5.5%, which on current data implies at least one cut before year-end 2027 unless imported price pressure stays elevated.
