Overview

Vertigo differs from ordinary light-headedness; it is a spinning feeling. It often comes from the inner ear. Spinning with one-sided weakness is an emergency.

  • Inner-ear problems (BPPV)
  • Meniere
  • Migraine
  • Medicines
  • Nerve problems (less often)

When to see a doctor

Get care promptly for vertigo with severe headache, weakness, or speech trouble.
