Overview
Throat pain often comes from viruses and settles with rest and fluids. Strep or abscess needs assessment. Breathing trouble or drooling is an emergency.

When to see a doctor
See a clinic if the throat is very painful, or you have high fever, swelling, or trouble breathing/swallowing.
