Overview

Burning feet can relate to nerve problems (neuropathy), diabetes, nutrient deficiency, or circulation. It is not a symptom to ignore if it persists. Sugar control and nerve assessment may be needed.

Possible causes

  • Diabetes-related neuropathy
  • B-vitamin deficiency
  • Excess alcohol
  • Certain infections or toxins
  • Nerve compression

When to see a doctor

Visit a clinic if burning persists, you have numbness, or you live with diabetes.
