The Agriculture Master Plan 2050 turns that ambition into hard numbers: a USD 100 billion agricultural economy, USD 20 billion in agricultural exports, and 10% sector growth every year.
But AMP 2050 contains one number that should concentrate every banker's mind: 70% of the investment required is expected to come from the private sector. Public money and donor money will not close this gap. Banks, guarantee funds, insurers and investors will or it will not close at all.
