We are looking for AI experts with strong code skills — to set up infrastructure and data pipelines, ship daily product ideas and engagement fixes, and build interfaces that help people based on feedback and what matters to them.

We are not taking applications yet — we hope to open hiring as the business grows. The roles below are what we are planning.

Every role here will require AI knowledge. You will work on real product surfaces used by people in Tanzania: coordinating data, improving day-to-day experience, and turning user feedback into visible improvements.

The foundation for each position — specific focus shifts by product area.

AI expert who codes

Solid understanding of code (PHP, JavaScript, SQL, or similar), AI APIs, and how to wire models into real products — not lab experiments only.

🔧

Infrastructure & data pipelines

Set up and maintain data systems: ingestion, indexing (e.g. Qdrant), cron/scheduler, and processes that run reliably every day.

⚡

Daily ideas & engagement

Ship quick improvements, engagement fixes, and new ideas from real usage — not only long roadmaps.

🎯

Feedback-driven interfaces

Build and refine pages, chat, and tools that help people get what they need — guided by user feedback and what is known to matter in each area.

Each role will share the same AI + code foundation; the difference is which product and users you focus on.

  • Platform

    AI Engineer — Platform & Infrastructure

    Own core systems: chat engine, indexing, scheduler, APIs, and data pipelines that power finance, Discover, sports and other surfaces. Experience running reliable daily pipelines is essential.

  • Finance

    AI Product Engineer — Finance

    Improve /finance: DSE, forex, loans, bonds, and economic data. Connect data sources, refine finance chat, and build interfaces that help users track markets and opportunities.

  • Commodities

    AI Product Engineer — Commodities (Bidhaa)

    Focus on crop and goods prices (maize, fuel, sugar, etc.). Manage price ingestion, commodities chat, and pages that help farmers and traders understand trends.

  • Discover

    AI Product Engineer — Discover (Gundua)

    Improve news discovery: syndication, topics, and reading experience. Work on indexing, ranking, and surfaces that help users find Tanzania-relevant stories.
