  • DODOMA: THE United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has launched a digital marketplace, TANFISH, to help Tanzanian fishers and fish processors access wider markets by selling their products online.
  • Speaking during a high-level side event in Dodoma, FAO Fisheries Specialist Dr Hasheem Muumin said the platform enables fishers and processors to register, upload photos of their fish products and connect with buyers.
  • TANFISH protects buyers’ payments while giving fishers and processors access to larger and more reliable markets,” Dr Muumin said.
