- Goodluck Mollel was the director of YDP which started in 2010 and was influential in identifying and training many young tennis players and some of them are in the national team .At YDP Mollel was assisted by Jonas.
- At the tournament which was used as qualifying for CAT Under 12 tournament which is slated for later this year in Morocco, Tanzania teams were in position 2 and one in boys and girls categories respectively.
- He was speaking at the end of the World Tennis /CAT Eastern African Junior Tennis Competition which the country hosted and attracted seven countries namely Kenya,Uganda ,Rwanda ,Burundi ,Seychelles, Comoro and the host.
- He thanked the government through National sports Council (NSC) and Tennis stakeholders for making the tournament a success TTA has had many initiatives aimed at developing the game of tennis from the grassroots levels.
- By Our Reporter The Local Tennis Governing Body (TTA)says it has plans to introduce the sport in many schools in the country so that the game is to grow and develop.
