  • The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) organised a nationwide Taxpayer Appreciation Fun Run and Walk on 27th June 2026 as part of the activities leading up to the Presidential Taxpayer Awards and the Authority’s 30th.
  • He added that as TRA marks its 30th Anniversary, the Authority takes pride in the strong partnership it has built with taxpayers, which has contributed significantly to consistent improvements in revenue.
  • Yusuph Juma Mwenda, said the Fun Run was organised as a gesture of appreciation for taxpayers in recognition of their invaluable contribution to government revenue collection and national development.
  • Ambassador Khamis Mussa Omar, commended taxpayers for their continued commitment to paying taxes, noting that every tax contribution plays a vital role in driving the country’s development.
