- The 585m/- project, implemented by the Mwanza Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (MWAUWASA), was completed in full and is expected to benefit residents of Bugogwa, Sangabuye, Kahama and Shibula wards.
- Works included building the treatment plant, installing a 100,000-litre storage tank, two pumps with a combined capacity of 50 cubic metres per hour, as well as constructing a toilet and perimeter fence.
- Eng Sitta said the investment will also stimulate economic activities, reduce the time residents spend searching for water and create employment opportunities, including temporary jobs for 25 youths.
- MWANZA: THE construction of the Igombe– Kabangaja Water Treatment Plant in Ilemela Municipality, Mwanza Region, has been completed, marking a major step in improving access to clean and safe water.
