DAR ES SALAAM: President Samia Suluhu Hassan has launched the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into Violence and Violations of the Law During and After the October 2025 General Election, tasking it with investigating.
She said the commission would investigate the individuals who incited the violence, those directly involved and those who financed the disturbances that occurred during and after the October 29, 2025 General Elections.
Speaking during the launch of the commission at the State House in Dar es Salaam yesterday, President Samia said the body had been established under the powers vested in her by the Commissions of Inquiry Act, Chapter.
She also called on all Tanzanians to cooperate fully with the commission to enable it to carry out its mandate effectively and without interference.
