  • The call was made by the Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Ambassador Said Shaib Mussa, who led the Tanzanian delegation to the SADC Standing Committee of Senior.
  • The committee is deliberating on a range of strategic issues aimed at deepening regional integration and advancing socio-economic development across the SADC region.
  • Key agenda items include the financial status and contributions of member states, the SADC annual regional development report, preparations for a special publication honouring the late Brigadier General Hashim Mbita.
