• The answer increasingly lies in Nature-based Solutions (NbS), actions that protect, restore and sustainably manage natural ecosystems to address societal challenges while enhancing biodiversity and human well-being.
• Nature-based Solutions provide an opportunity to transform conservation from a financial burden into an attractive investment opportunity.
• Community participation remains the cornerstone of successful Nature-based Solutions.
• Ministries, financial institutions, development partners, the private sector, civil society and local communities must work collaboratively to create enabling policies, strengthen environmental governance and develop.
