  • DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA is set to host the Africa50 Annual General Shareholders Meeting and the Infra for Africa Forum on August 5–6, 2026, at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam.
  • He added that Tanzania has continued to benefit since officially joining Africa50 as a shareholder on February 14, 2023.
  • Ambassador Omar noted that this year’s meeting coincides with the 10th anniversary of Africa50, which began operations in 2016.
  • The 2026 meeting will be held under the theme: “A Decade of Economic Impact: From Ambition to Delivery.
  • Among the projects being implemented in collaboration with Africa50 are the development of Mangapwani Port in Zanzibar, the Mini Liquefied Natural Gas (Mini LNG) Project, electricity transmission infrastructure.
