Dar Night Run (DNR) is organized by The Runners Sports Agency on behalf of The Runners Club, the largest social running club in Tanzania, with more than 1,000 members and thousands of followers and supporters. The Club is registered under the National Sports Council of Tanzania Act, 1967 as a sports club, registration number NSC 12396.
The Club’s innovative and unique night race has been running for past eight (8) consecutive years on the last Saturday of August every year. This is the 9th edition of the race and is scheduled for Saturday, 29th August 2026 and is limited to 1,500 participants in 10km and 15km. The cause of the marathon is aligned with the Club’s vision of healthy lifestyles and a testimony that it is possible and safe to run the streets of Dar es Salaam at night.
