The Monetary Policy Committee, chaired by Governor Emmanuel Tutuba, raised the Central Bank Rate by 0.5 points to 6.25% for Q3 2026, citing energy, fertiliser and transport cost pressures from the Middle East conflict, while headline inflation stayed within the 3-5% target range.
